If you've ever skipped sunscreen because it felt too heavy, too greasy, or just too much effort for a grey Tuesday morning, an Australian brand wants to change your mind.
Harpar Grace International has announced the professional launch of Airyday across the UK and Ireland, bringing the SPF brand into clinics, spas, and skincare practices nationwide. And the story behind it is worth knowing.
Born from a personal mission
Airyday was founded in Australia by a woman named Fran after she was diagnosed with melanoma at 36. Rather than respond with fear, she responded with formulation — creating a range of sunscreens designed to actually be worn every day, not just at the beach in August.
The result is a line of texture-led SPF products built around what Airyday calls the "SPF Wardrobe" concept: different formulations for different skin types, lifestyles, and seasons. The idea is that sun protection shouldn't be one-size-fits-all, and that the right SPF for a dewy morning commute is probably not the same one you'd want before a gym session or a day outdoors.
Why Australia? Why now?
Australia consistently records some of the highest UV exposure levels in the world, which means its skincare industry has had decades of pressure to get sun protection right. Airyday brings that hard-won expertise to a UK market
that's increasingly interested in preventative skincare — not just fixing damage after the fact, but protecting skin before it happens.
HGI, which distributes premium skincare brands to professional partners across the UK and Ireland, identified Airyday as a brand filling a genuine gap. "Airyday stood out not only because of the quality of its formulations, but because it addresses an increasingly important conversation around daily SPF use and preventative skin health," said Erica Casey, CEO of Harpar Grace International.
What this means for skincare professionals
For clinics and spas, the launch gives practitioners a way to extend the sun protection conversation beyond the summer months. Rather than recommending a single SPF and moving on, professionals can now match clients to a product that genuinely suits how they live — which, in turn, makes daily use far more likely.
It's a small but meaningful shift: from sunscreen as a seasonal product to SPF as a genuine year-round skincare staple.
Where to find it
Airyday is available through HGI's network of professional clinics, spas, and skincare practitioners across the UK and Ireland.
