POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Finance Director to join our luxury aesthetics business based in Hampshire to assure the company's continued stable and profitable growth, with overarching responsibility of our financial health & Governance as we enter into a
period of largely organically funded growth.
Leading cashflow and currency management, infrastructure development and trade/invoice finance facilities, this role will also be responsible for developing and driving company policies and process to ensure compliance and efficiency and support our goal of sustainable excellence whilst building foundations for our global vision.
This is a permanent position working 5 days per week. Minimum 2 days working in Head Office. Your commuting distance from home to the Head Office should be no more than 1 hour.
MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCE
- Manage the finance team (4 people)
- Ensuring good financial controls are maintained throughout the business
- Strategic planning & budget creation/rephasing
- Financial forecasting & monitoring cashflow
- Overseeing currency exchange & management and IF/TF experience
- Lead financial preparation for monthly, quarterly & annual management meetings
- Lead FY end planning, processes and due diligence
- Manage the statutory accounts and regulatory reporting
- Oversee employee payroll and statutory compliance
GOVERNANCE & BUSINESS PROCESS
GOVERNANCE & CONTRACTUAL COMPLIANCE
- Support to the Managing Director and CEO of the business as a member of
the Senior Leadership Team.
- Work closely with HR, legal, and finance departments to ensure
company-wide understanding and adherence to regulatory obligations.
- Administrate legal matters with our appointed legal team to minimise risk
& improve processes to mitigate future risks
- Ensure all contracts are financially robust, legally compliant, due
diligence applied and in line with corporate standards and needs.
GDPR COMPLIANCE
- Oversee and manage the company’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance strategy.
RISK MANAGEMENT & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
- Develop and manage a business policies and procedures framework that includes regular audits, performance monitoring, process improvement and risk assessments.
- Updating the company risk register, and reporting to the SLT
EXPERIENCE & KEY SUCCESS CRITERIA
ESSENTIAL
- Previous ownership of finance, administration & governance
- Experience of NETSUITE
- Robust professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience such as Head of Finance / Finance Director
- Confident & experience of ERP/systems and transition implementation
- A hands on approach in an entrepreneurial environment
- Solid IF/TF experience
PREFERABLE/ADVANTAGEOUS
- Strong working knowledge of UK legal requirements in data protection
(GDPR) & Corporate Governance & Legal regulatory compliance.
- HR Policy Management: Experience working with HR teams to ensure policies comply with UK employment law and industry best practices.
- Professional certification in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001, Six
Sigma) is highly desirable.
- Experience with ISO certification processes and B-Corp certification
frameworks
KEY SKILLS
- With a small finance team of 4, hands-on experience in accounting and
month end close
- Cashflow management and strong accounting experience (AP, AR, GL)
- Strong excel skills for monitoring, interpreting & reporting data
- Experience within fast paced environments & entrepreneurial led
organisations
- A commercial awareness of the role of finance and business support functions
- Good communication skills
- A focus on Reporting and KPI development for a business
