INTERIM FINANCE MANAGER

Main roles and responsibilities

Position Summary

This is a 6 month temporary/interim full time role reporting to the Financial Controller.

The role is to back fill whilst a permanent hire is carried out. Primary function is to supervise the monthly close and assist in the preparation of management accounts ensuring full balance sheet control and reconciliation.

Initially for a 6 month basis. This is a high volume busy role which calls for a resilient individual who can hit the ground running, work at pace and accurately. Role is an immediate start and will require someone with experience in a similar role.

Accounting qualifications at least up to AAT but QBE are also encouraged.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in the closing of month end on a tight deadline – 5 working days
• Supervision small finance team during the close
• Ensure all month end activities are carried out and monthly balance sheet reconciliations completed.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Preparation of payroll, pension and expenses
• Preparation of VAT
• Good all round stock and inventory management experience
• Manage daily financial transactions into Xero working with finance team
• Strong experience of Xero and systems implementation and organisation migrates new ERP
• Overseeing the Trade Finance and Invoice Finance functions
• Provide support to Financial Controller on various ad hoc tasks, demonstrating flexibility and proactive approach
• Intermediate to advance level Excel and other financial software will be useful
• Assist with the external audit
