NPD & Innovations Project Manager

Main roles and responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations & Supply Chain Director, the NPD & Innovations Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of new product development for our Déesse PRO brand; from concept and scoping, through to manufacturing and launch. This role requires the ability to lead multiple projects at once, manage stakeholders at all levels, meet project objectives, manage controls and have a commercial awareness.

• Working with the Head of Brand to create an NPD pipeline for our Déesse PRO brand
• Curate innovative new product concepts for the brand (including GWPs)
• Scope new product concepts, including margin potential, market access, supply chain, manufacturing schedule, risks & carrying out due diligence
• Develop & manage manufacturing briefs, tenders, contracts, project plans & reports
• Manage external partners including manufacturers & agencies
• Ensure all controls are in place and documented, including scopes, timings plans, budgets & contracts
• Work with the Head of Sales to create & execute the market entry plan, including managing market registrations & set up
• Support with developing packaging, operating manuals & any other requirements for the product
• Working closely with the brand team, develop & manage the product launch plan, considering all functions including marketing, communications & PR, operations & logistics, education & sales
• Lead regular internal stakeholder meetings & documenting minutes & actions
• Establish a project reporting approach to track project progress so trends can be identified & progress known
• Develop the NPD approach for the business & create SOPs, updating them when necessary


WHAT WILL MAKE YOU RIGHT FOR THIS ROLE?


• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a new product development role (in an LED technology or skincare brand would be advantageous)
• Excellent project management skills (PRINCE2, APM or other qualification would be advantageous)
• Strong stakeholder management & communication skills
• Passionate about aesthetics, well-being, beauty & spa environments (technical understanding would be advantageous)
• Commercially adept with consistently high standards & willingness to ensure process & structure is applied each time
• Confident in documenting planning, tracking & reviewing project progress
• Confident IT user, in particular using Microsoft Projects, Excel and Visio
• International exposure would be an advantage but not essential
• Experience in managing domestic & international manufacturers & agencies
• Organised, multi-tasking & committed to making things happen.
• Energetic, self-motivated, creative thinker who flourishes at working independently
• Drive to go that extra mile & identifying opportunities to meet & exceed objectives
